I SLEPT LAST NIGHT!

This is how I felt last night! I have not had much sleep lately at all because Maci has been refusing to sleep unless she is being held, even then she wakes up every 1-3 hours, usually closer to 1-2 hours to eat! I will feed her as much as she wants but it makes for one tired mamma. Last night at about 9:30pm I gave her a bottle of formula (4oz) because that is what the Mother/Baby nurse said to do at night. I'm pumping during the day to be able to feed her as much as my milk as possible during the day, feeding her in the evening while I'm with her and then a bottle of formula at night so that my milk can build up a little more and I'll be able to feed her in the night if she wakes up and wants to eat. Normally she has drained me so much by the middle of the night I don't think she is getting much. Anyway, last night I gave her the bottle at 9:30pm, I then burped her and cuddled her for just a minute and she fell asleep without a fight. Most nights I have to rock her and bounce around for awhile for her to fall asleep. Maci then slept like a baby (haha)! She did wake up for a couple of minutes around I think 2am and I fed her just a little bit because she fell right back to sleep. I guess she just wanted a little snack. At about 4:15am I decided to wake her up by changing her diaper and I fed her again before I left for work. I was hoping that way she would sleep longer and daddy would get to sleep in a little bit. It worked like a charm. I think that although I really don't like having to feed her anything but my milk, she is just hungry and I will do anything to keep her happy, healthy and well rested so she can enjoy life. Maybe 6oz or so a day of formula isn't so bad after all. I don't want to jinx anything but I think we may be on to something and possibly happier in the long run. Last night although I got more sleep than I normally do, I kept waking up checking on her and then laying with my eyes open thinking about how nice it was that she was actually sleeping. What a waste of valuable sleep time. = )

Potato and Sausage Roast
- 1 Package of Italian sausage (about 5 links)
- 2 Bell Peppers
- 1 Sweet Onion
- 1lb Red potatoes (cut in quarters) about 4 potatoes
- 1-2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp Garlic Salt
- Dash of pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Wash and cut peppers and onions into strips. Wash and cut potatoes too.
Place all of the cut veggies onto a large baking sheet.
Toss veggies with olive oil and seasonings.
Cut sausages into 3-4 pieces per sausage. Place the sausage pieces on the pan with the veggies.
Place pan in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove and serve!
I used 5 potatoes and used garlic power and salt once I saw that my garlic salt had expired. I also used a yellow onion instead of sweet, they didn't have sweet where I was and I also used Bratwurst instead of Italian Sausage. Still turned out GREAT!

Furniture Transformation Projects
My sister Bubba (Kristi) got me into a few blogs where people are transforming furniture from something not so great, to something amazing. I am now going to be working on the following projects and can't wait to see how they turn out.
This is a shelf that has been in the garage since we moved in. A man and his wife built this house, the man passed away and the woman is the one who we purchased the house from. I'm sure that it's been in the garage for many years. We plan to take it off the wall, and possibly make it a shelf to put our DVD player etc. in.
We rented out our house and when we moved back in this shelf was here. This is the story that was given to me by the person who brought it into the house:
This was made by a great grandfather for someone who had a yard sale in Oregon City and were selling it the day before they moved to Kansas. The lady had it since she was two and it was made for her room then, and later on used it for a TV stand. When Karen, who bought it at the yard sale got it home she used it in the living room, then in the garage.
This I found at the Goodwill Bins for $15. I got this on one of my shopping trips with Mandie Pandie.
This was my moms, and I'm not sure who had it before her. She painted it three times, how it's my turn because I haven't changed it since it was painted for my room when I was little. I love this dresser and plan to pass it on in the future to one of my kids. This is a sturdy thing!
Maci is 3 Months!
Maci is now 3 months old as of 9/14/10. She is the light of our lives. We couldn't love someone more. Will has taken to being a daddy and is getting better at taking care of her each day. It is so cute to watch them together, I love it. I can't get enough of this girl!
