23 Weeks, 6 Days (Tomorrow is 24 Weeks)

People have been asking for the belly pics so I had my mom take a few tonight. Maci is going to be 6 months tomorrow, I can't believe how fast this really goes and how fast a human fully forms. Seems kinda crazy when you think about the whole process and what she started off as.

Front view, candid shot.

The first sign of my belly button getting ready to pop. That part on the top has NEVER stuck out like that before.

This morning when I found my belly button like this I finally took out my belly ring. I figured it was time. Will said I better take it out before my belly button pops and we can't get it out.

Kick, roll, punch, kick...

I'm laying here on the couch feeling Maci moving around in my belly. She is moving so much that I can see the blanket move when she jumps around. A few minutes ago I pulled my shirt up to watch my stomach jump around. It is so much fun! Maci likes to move most of the time when I am being still, or laying down so when I move around a lot and don't have time to relax it makes me a little sad. The last couple of weeks Will and I were moving from one of our houses to the other that we had as a rental and I wasn't able to sit back and relax and feel her move and I didn't like it. I wasn't feeling extremely tired or anything, I just wanted my Maci time. I think that when I'm up moving around she just sleeps the entire time, I hope she doesn't get any ideas. My little sister Samantha was a baby who ALWAYS wanted to be held and wanted you up on your feet moving around. If you weren't, she was screaming on the top of her lungs. Is it bad that I'm hoping for a lazy baby that would like to just cuddle on the couch?

We're Expecting A Baby!!!

Will and I decided that once we got married we wanted to try for a baby. We started in April, on the 18th to be exact = ) and on October 14th took a test to find it to be POSITIVE! That was the one month I really didn't think that I was going to end up pregnant because my mom, Bubba and I had gone to Bahamas on a cruise in September which I thought was during my ovulation period. I hadn't taken a test for about two months and randomly that morning decided to take one while waiting for the doctor to call me about my sinus, upper respiratory and tonsil infections (which was a joy). I was getting ready to grab the test and put it in the trash when I glanced and noticed two lines. I immediately woke Will up who was still sleeping before getting up for work, and made him look at it and see if what I thought I was looking at was accurate. I'll tell you, I've never seen Will come out of a deep sleep so fast! When I was on the phone with the doctor he said that if it came out positive it was positive, although I was in so much shock I though for sure it was because of all the medicine I was on for the infections that it was coming out positive. I guess that's not how it works. Here is the timeline of when everything happened:

October 14th - Took home test, then went and took a test at the lab. Both which came out positive. I was so gitty but didn't know how to react because it just didn't seem real. Will was the same way.

October 30th - Will and I went to our first appointment at 9am. We had an in office ultrasound which looked like I wasn't as far along as we thought. At that time we thought that the baby would be about 8 weeks but the baby was looking smaller. We were referred to Ultrasound at the hospital for an official due date ultrasound.

November 3rd - Will was super busy at work so my dad came along for the ultrasound. We found out that the baby was 7 weeks 3 days, putting the due date at June 19th, 2010. I don't have the picture scanned but I'll just tell you what it looked like. A blob. The cool thing was that the blob had a heart beat that you could see, although it was to early to hear yet.

November 17th - I was in the Nurse Treatment Room getting an IV for dehydration because by this point I was throwing up 10-15 times a day. Oh goodness, this sucked so bad, but the IV helped a ton, not for long term but to make me feel like I could actually stand up for more than a second. Oh by the way, the IV made my hair look SUPER nice.

November 30th - Will and I went to our appointment at 8:45am. We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time! The baby was 11 weeks 2 days.

December 28th - Will and I went to our appointment at 9:45am. We heard the heartbeat again, this time it was much louder and easier to find. I think this is when being pregnant started becoming more real for both Will and I.

January 26th - 9:15am we had our ultrasound appointment. We were so excited because this is when we planned to have the tech write the gender on a piece of paper, put it in an envelope and we were going to open it that night with our family and a couple of friends, that is if all went as planned. Thankfully after and hour and about fifteen minutes that darn stubborn baby uncrossed it's ankles. Will and I were in the first part of the appointment, then when the diagnostic stuff was over my mom, dad and Bubba (Kristi) my sister came in to check the baby out.

Check out that spine!

Profile, looks like baby has big lips.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

January 27th - 10:15am my mom and I went to this appointment because Will was stuck at work. After seeing the same Nurse Practitioner for all the other appointments I decided to see a midwife and see how that went. She was okay but we're still going to "shop" around. At this appointment she told us that everything looked great in the ultrasound.

We plan to name our little girl Maci Nicole Yeats Healey. We love her so much already and she's already being spoiled by many...especially Bubba and Amanda.

We LOVE Our Life - Part 2

Will and I went to San Francisco for our honeymoon. We had SO much fun! We can't wait to go back because we didn't get to do all the things we wanted to while we were there. Will and I left the morning after our wedding, April 19th so it was perfect. When planning the trip we wrote down some things that we could do so that we had some options, and where to go to do them but we didn't make any actual plans. We found so many things to do that weren't on our list and the hotel we stayed at was so great. We stayed at Hotel Carlton, which looks like a total looser place from the outside. When we were on the shuttle from the airport taking people to all these nice hotels and then pulled up to ours we really thought we were in for it. You should have seen the looks on our faces. Once we went inside and met the awesome staff and saw our cute room we were immediately at ease. We had free wine every night, and because we had just gotten married we had all you can drink in the lobby, then they would give us bottles to take to our room. We LOVED our wine haha.

And this too.
Only Amanda would write on ALL of our windows then offer help for clean up. She's such an awesome friend.

We LOVE Our Life - Part 1

Hello Everyone!

Will and I got married on April 18th, 2009. This was the BEST day of our lives. We say all the time that we would love to have our wedding day again, because it was so much fun and there is no better feeling than making a life long commitment to the person you love most, your best friend.

The location couldn't have fit us any better.
My gals are amazing! Couldn't live without any of them.

My friend Kristi Calhoun also helped out a great deal at the wedding. She wasn't a bridesmaid but was right there by my side to help with WHATEVER needed to be done. She was the one who kept things running on the big day. Love you Krissy!
Will and his awesome guys who have been there for him through thick and thin.

Will and I have been together since March 4th, 2004. We have gone through ups and down in our relationship and have grown so much together as well as on our own. We have come to know that life without each other just isn't that cool. We like to say that we're stuck with each other now. We don't have to be together but we WANT to be together. That's what makes our relationship so awesome.
