Crib or Bust

Maci is a silly one who seems to have a need to touch me almost at all times, especially at night.  I decided yesterday 10/16 to try putting her in her crib during nap time to see how it would go.  I figured that she may sleep better if she couldn't smell or hear me.  When I put her down she started to wake up a little bit so I put my hand on her stomach and just stood there for a minute, she then went to sleep.  I woke her up after she had been sleeping for 3 HOURS!  That is a long time for my little girl.  I got a nap too, which I really needed...BAD!  Thank you Maci for letting mommy nap.

Nap time went so well that I decided to try again for bedtime.  I took her into her room at about 11pm after she had been sleeping for about 30 minutes.  As soon as I put her down she woke up.  I didn't say anything to her, just picked her up and rocked/bounced her for a couple of minutes in the dark until she fell asleep again.  I put her down and she didn't wake up to eat until 3am.  3:30am I put her back in her bed, again had to put my hand on her for her to stay asleep.  I didn't hear anything from her again until about 6:15am.  This time I changed her diaper then fed her and put her back in her bed at about 7am.  It wasn't until I was hearing her talk to herself at 9:30am that I went and got her up.  Watch the video and see what she thought about her big girl bed.

4 Months!

I can't believe our sweet girl is already 4 Months as of yesterday 6/14!  She is growing into such a happy little girl who loves to smile.  Maci has started taking an interest in toys which has been really cute to watch and funny at the same time.  While she's figuring her hands out she gets a little frustrated at times when they don't do what she wants, or when one hand pulls the other hand away from what she is doing or playing with.  She cracks me up.

  I'll be uploading more pictures soon, but in the meantime I'm going to show off this super cute picture of my sister Samantha and Maci together from last week that my mom e-mailed to me.

Now she's pooped, time to suck her fingers.

Maci started giggling on October 5th and is now rolling over on October 8th.  Things are changing/happening daily.  What a big girl she's becoming!

Big Girl

The time has come and I'm packing up Maci's 0-3 month clothes. There are a few things I'm keeping out that are still fitting her but for the most part she is just to darn tall! Maci is now 26 inches long at 3 months when a friend of ours has a baby who was 26 1/2 inches at 6 months. Maci is going to be long and lean, just like her daddy. It's a little sad but also fun at the same time, it's just proof that our little girl is growing up and there are many fun stages to come.
